Oleg is a chartered accountant with over nine years’ audit and forensic experience. He has focused on disputes for the last six years. He joined Haberman Ilett in 2014, having previously qualified and gained experience in forensic work within Big Four firms.
Oleg has assisted experts with the preparation of evidence in both UK litigation and international arbitration cases. Being a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian, Oleg has worked on a variety of CIS-related matters, including investment arbitrations, commercial arbitrations relating to assets in the CIS region and disputes involving Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. His special interest is contentious valuation, with much of his experience coming from valuing businesses in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe and other emerging markets. He holds degrees in law and criminology and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Outside of work, Oleg enjoys spending his free time outdoors, mostly through hiking and playing polo but with a growing enthusiasm for rock climbing.
