The joining together of two reputable leaders in their field

8 April 2019

We are delighted to announce that, as of today, Haberman Ilett will merge with Blackrock Expert Services Group, the leading expert construction and technology consultancy.

Blackrock Expert Services Group is recognised globally as a market leader in the provision of expert services to the construction and technology sectors, and has a portfolio of high-profile litigation and arbitration cases to its name.

Sharing the same market focus, outstanding global reputations and an ethos built around quality, integrity and independence, Blackrock Expert Services Group is a natural fit for Haberman Ilett, allowing clients to benefit from the Group’s extensive construction and technology expertise.  The accessibility of our services and the level of support that we are able to provide to our clients will also be enhanced by the Group’s global presence, with offices in Dubai and lately Paris, along with an international pool of staff who speak over 17 languages.

Founded in 2009, the Blackrock Expert Services Group is widely recognised as a market leader in delay, quantum and technology expert witness services.  The Group employs individual directors who are all experts in their fields and who have extensive testifying experience in International Arbitration, Courts such as the TCC in the UK, and other dispute resolution forums.  The Group was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2017, and Who’s Who Legal Construction Expert of the Year 2018.

Giles Derry, CEO of Blackrock, said “We work with Haberman Ilett regularly and have high regard for the quality and integrity of their people, making the cultural fit with Blackrock an easy pairing.  Clients frequently seek a range of expert services from us and we are genuinely delighted that we are now able to offer such high quality forensic and accounting experts.”

Frank Ilett, Haberman Ilett’s Managing Partner, comments “Blackrock is an ideal partner for us and we are delighted to be joining forces with a firm of their quality.  Our ability to continue with few conflicts and to offer the highest quality to our clients was essential.  We are all looking forward to delivering the benefits of being part of a larger organisation whilst at the same time maintaining the focus on expert witness work.  All the partners and staff are remaining with the combined business and this will ensure a smooth transition and benefit both businesses and clients.”
