wwl-logoWho’s Who Legal (WWL) has recognised all of Haberman Ilett’s partners and directors as leading Consulting Experts in its ‘Financial Advisory and Valuation – Quantum of Damages 2018’ category.

This is a great achievement and follows on from our third-place listing in GAR 100’s Expert Witness Firms’ Power Index 2018.  This year’s list includes Andrew Flower, who joined us in May to set up our new Paris office, and Director Graham Nunns.

I’m also pleased that WWL has recognised myself and my colleagues Anastasia Mikhalitsyna and Kate Lilleyman  in the new ‘future leaders’ category, as “impressive experts who are considered future leaders in the quantum of damages space”.

Consulting expert witnesses

WWL says that Valery Knyazev, who has extensive experience in disputes in emerging markets and in the CIS region, stands out for his “depth of understanding and first-hand experience in dealing with complex damages matters”.  Liz Perks has international experience working on behalf of clients from around the world, who say she “is a first-rate quantum expert” and praise her for her “thorough and detail-oriented approach”.  Bruno Augustin has a particular interest in regulatory and civil disputes involving competition law, with WWL saying that he “stands out among peers for his impressive work providing financial valuations and analyses in a wide range of disputes”.

Vikki Wall is noted as being “highly recommended by peers who praise her as a “very responsive” expert noted for her “grasp of the detail””, while fellow partner Debbie Revill, an oil and gas specialist, is described as a ““very quick, very thorough and very reactive” expert who “really grasps the commercial realities””.  WWL notes that Graham Nunns is held in high regard by market sources who highlight his “intellectual strength and clarity of expression”.

Once again, Philip Haberman, our senior partner, is recognised as a “thought leader”, with WWL commenting that sources “commend his exceptional work providing valuation analyses in both litigation and arbitration proceedings”.  Fellow founding partner Frank Ilett is praised for his “market-leading quantum expertise in financial-related disputes” and senior partner Andrew Flower is recognised for his “quantum expertise across a range of industries from transport to pharmaceuticals and TMT”.

Future leaders

Anastasia, Kate and I are experienced forensic accountants who have built up experience in the profession over the past ten years.  WWL reports that sources commend Anastasia for her particularly strong understanding of the Russian market, and that she possesses “the valuable ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely”.  Kate is described as “excellent to work with” when it comes to valuation and loss of profit claims and is known for her “diligent approach”.  WWL also writes “Simon Procopiou is recognised for his great knowledge and understanding of quantum matters” and “is able to produce excellent reports that truly make an impact in proceedings”.

My congratulations to everyone at the firm who has made this year’s listing.  It’s a credit to all the hard work that has been put in by them and the entire Haberman Ilett team over the last 12 months.
